“Whether you’re a seasoned investor looking to network with high-performing peers or just starting out, this conference will provide an opportunity to gain new strategies to take back to your credit union and strengthen your portfolio”

Washington, DC (PRWEB) May 02, 2013

Callahan & Associates will host its second National Investment Forum in Boston, MA on October 10-11, 2013. This conference will focus solely on credit union investment strategies and share best practices for managing portfolios in the current environment.

The January 2013 San Diego Investment Forum received great reviews by attendees, rating the meeting as informative and helpful in seeing where to grow their investment portfolios. Based on this positive feedback and popular demand, Callahan has decided to offer a similar conference on the east coast. “The strong results from our first investment conference confirmed the need for more opportunities to discuss the latest investment strategies with peers and learn from experts in the credit union industry” remarks Jon Jeffreys, Vice President of Callahan & Associates. “We’re excited about the line-up of speakers and the rich content that will be shared during the October 2013 conference.”

Callahan will bring back several popular speakers who received great reviews from the January conference including Brad Miller, EVP/CFO with Coastal Federal Credit Union. Based on the number of attendees who specifically referenced Miller, Callahan has invited him back to speak in October. This time around Miller will discuss his strategies in managing his own investment portfolio.

Jon Rankin, Assistant Vice President of Asset Liability Management with EasCorp will present on asset liability management. Rankin will discuss the tools of the trade including gap analysis, net interest income simulation, and net economic value in his afternoon session. Rankin will also share model elements, how to optimize the risk/reward relationship, and why enhanced performance matters. Interested credit unions can view all of the scheduled topics via the conference website http://www.callahan.com/investmentforum.

“Whether you’re a seasoned investor looking to network with high-performing peers or just starting out, this conference will provide an opportunity to gain new strategies to take back to your credit union and strengthen your portfolio”, says Jay Johnson, Executive Vice President of Callahan & Associates.
