Nutronics Labs, the manufacturer of the deer antler spray, which World Golf Hall of Famer Vijay Singh admitted to using before being investigated by the World Anti-doping Agency (WADA), commends PGA Golf on its decision to not pursue sanctions on Vijay Singh. After months of awaiting a decision post-confession of using this all-natural supplement, Singh had his suspension lifted by the PGA Tour after WADA found the spray to not violate policies. ESPN Golf reports that WADA has since stated that deer antler spray is not considered prohibited unless a positive test result is produced.
Singh is not the only athlete who had recently come under fire for using deer antler spray. Former NFL player and Super Bowl champion Ray Lewis reportedly used the natural substance.
“We stand behind Vijay Singh and all athletes that use deer antler spray because ultimately, deer antler velvet and IGF-1 are all-natural supplements,” said Dr. Rick Lentini, President and CEO of Nutronics Labs. “Players should not be penalized for using something natural that is going to aid in recovery and help improve their performance. IGF-1 has numerous health benefits which our thousands of satisfied customers can attest to.”
