Advanced Patient Advocacy, LLC (APA) announced today that Mike Wilmoth, APA’s Chief Operating Officer recently spoke at the 2013 Spring Conference of the Connecticut Chapter of the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM) held on April 26th.
Mr. Wilmoth spoke on the topic of heathcare reform, giving his presentation entitled “In the Shadow of PPACA: Healthcare Reform Preppers” to an audience of hospital executives in Accounting, Finance, Patient Financial Services and Revenue Cycle Management. The objective of the presentation was to provide the executives with an overview of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) and the challenges it presents to the enrollment process and reimbursement. Mr. Wilmoth also presented information on risk aversion strategies and recommended tools that providers should have in their survival kit.

His background as a litigator, regulatory specialist and lobbyist has helped influence state and federal health policy. His most recent focus has been on developing public/private partnerships that streamline the enrollment process for Medicaid applicants.
