UrbanDaddy announced today the launch of The Email Concierge, the first interactive Facebook application that allows users with a Microsoft Outlook.com account to interact with UrbanDaddy editors in real time.
A custom-built application with stunning visual designs, The Email Concierge is a breakthrough in both member engagement and personalized content for both UrbanDaddy and Microsoft Inc.
The app allows members to submit questions about their local city on a number of topics, including: Food & Drink, Dating & Relationships, Fashion & Style, Work & Careers, Health & Wellness and Tech & Products.
“It’s the first time users will be able to interact with our editors, ask specific questions and get answers immediately,” said Lance Broumand, CEO of UrbanDaddy. “Our members are constantly emailing in questions related to enhancing their lives in their respective locations, and now we finally have a proper forum to answer them directly, in real time.”
“The response thus far has been remarkable,” said Jessica Reuben, NYC editorial director at UrbanDaddy. “Members from around the country have been submitting questions. Everything from ‘how many calories are in a Momofuku pork bun’ to ‘where is the best suit shop in DC to get a bespoke white linen tuxedo.’”
The Email Concierge is an extension of a larger partnership between Microsoft and UrbanDaddy, centered around a weekly release of limited-time enhanced offers for UrbanDaddy and Outlook.com users accessible via UD Perks.
“We’re excited to partner with UrbanDaddy to bring an exclusive digital concierge on Facebook for those who use Outlook.com,” said Dharmesh Mehta, senior director of product management for Outlook.com and SkyDrive. “It’s just one more way that Outlook.com helps get people going.”
UrbanDaddy is a lifestyle media company, focused on the intersection between hyper-relevant content and digital innovation.
