"The Leblon Collection by Artifaqt embodies the beauty and spirit of Brazil"
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (PRWEB) May 02, 2013
Award-winning Leblon Cachaça has partnered with Artifaqt to create the premier one-of-a-kind Caipirinha service to celebrate its “Be Brazilian Be Leblon” movement.
Inspired by the textures and culture of Brazil, the set is comprised of a muddler ($85 retail); and sugar bowl, tray, and walnut platter ($550 retail for total collection). The solid stainless steel muddler has excellent weight in the hand and is superior in muddling a Caipirinha. It is also ergonomically designed to fit snug in the hand and hand-carved and modeled after Brazilian wood.
Partnered with the service set, this becomes the finest Caipirinha set available. The solid stainless steel tray is carved with Amazonian ferns and designed to hold the fruit. A small stainless steel bowl holds the sugar, while beneath a walnut platter is designed to hold the glassware and bottle.
“Now that Cachaça has been officially recognized as its own spirit, it’s time for a new movement, the Be Brazilian campaign,” said Leblon Founder Steve Luttmann. “The Leblon Collection by Artifaqt embodies the beauty and spirit of Brazil!”
Artifaqt creates epic serving ware boards, culinary carts, dining tables, table lamps, and more. Artifaqt founder John Luttmann’s architectural and sculpture pieces met national accolades with Disney, who commissioned Luttmann Studios to complete an epic 300 seat restaurant and to design and develop lighting fixtures and furniture for guestrooms at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, Ohana.
Compelled by increasing the sense of art and design in kitchen and dining room, John founded Artifaqt, encompassing innovative cast pieces and one-at-a-time handmade pieces from wood. He has since created a line of serving ware created from heirloom hardwoods and locally cast metals that are designed to meet the dining and entertainment needs of home cooks and professional kitchens.
“From the textures and materials to the hand-carved designs, the muddler, bowl, tray, and platter embody the Caipirinha’s ability to transport us to the balmy sunlit celebrations of Brazil,” noted John Luttmann.
Usher in summer with the taste of Brazil, the Caipirinha. Take a good size lime, cut it into 8 wedges, and place 4 wedges in a rocks glass. Add two teaspoons of sugar, mash the lime and sugar with a muddler for 15 seconds, and add crushed ice up to the rim of the glass. Add two ounces of Leblon Cachaça, stir thoroughly, and garnish with a lime wedge.

About Leblon Natural Cane Cachaça
Leading a Brazilian invasion worldwide with its amazingly delicious, finely distilled spirit, Leblon Natural Cane Cachaça (pronounced ka-SHA-sa) is already the favorite alambique Cachaça in top venues in Brazil, where cachaça is the National Spirit. It is also the key ingredient to the Caipirinha (pronounced kai-pur-EEN-ya), the wildly popular, muddled lime cocktail and national treasure of Brazil. Winner of "Best Cachaça" a record five times, as well as an unprecedented seven consecutive gold medals from 2006 to 2012 at San Francisco’s World Spirits Competition, Leblon is handcrafted and produced at the Maison Leblon in Minas Gerais, Brazil’s fertile agricultural heartland. Overseen by Gilles Merlet, one of the world’s preeminent Master Distillers, Leblon’s special quality is achieved with painstaking attention to every detail in the production process, from the cutting of the cane, fermentation, and distillation, to the filtering, blending, and resting in XO Cognac casks for up to six months. The result is a lively, fruity nose with complex layers of flavor and an ultra-smooth finish that is perfect alone, mixed with fruit juice, in a traditional Caipirinha, or as a Brazilian twist to any cocktail. Leblon is available in all 50 U.S. States. (http://www.leblon.com)
