Attention middle and high school football players who want to maximize their Combine 360/Ignite performance ranking.
The Tidewater Performance Center in Newport News is hosting a six-week Combine Training Camp to help football athletes improve speed, agility and strength. The program is geared toward helping players prepare for the Combine 360/Ignite testing and is designed to maximize each athlete’s core competitive skills.
The first session in the camp will kick off Tuesday, May 7 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Newport News Tidewater Performance Center, located at 751 J. Clyde Morris Boulevard.
Emphasis will be placed on the 40-yard dash, 5-10-5 shuffle, 185 bench press, three cone drill, vertical and broad jumps.
The six-week program costs $300 and includes 12 sessions with Tidewater Performance Center Sports Performance Coach Cody Morris. Morris, a four-year starter with the College of William and Mary’s football team, was All American, Atlantic 10 All-Conference, Offensive Lineman of the Year and Co-Captain.
DartFish video analysis will also be used to evaluate athletes’ techniques and track progress.
