Four Quorum Health Resources (QHR) client hospitals have been named among iVantage Health Analytics' 2013 "HealthStrong Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals." The QHR client hospitals named include: Gritman Medical Center (Moscow, ID), Hayes Green Beach Memorial Hospital (Charlotte, MI), Southwest Memorial Hospital (Cortez, CO) and Rhea Medical Center (Dayton, TN). The results were published in March 2013 and are based on the most recently available data using the iVantage Hospital Strength Index™.
“The hospitals included in the 'Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals' show what can be accomplished through strong leadership,” said QHR President and CEO James L. Horrar. “We are proud of our client hospitals for proving that small community hospitals can be successful in today's difficult environment."
"We are delighted to be recognized by iVantage as one of the Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals in the U.S.," said Kara Besst of Gritman Medical Center. "This recognition aligns with Gritman's goal to be a recognized model for quality, service excellence and fiscal stewardship."
The iVantage Hospital Strength Index™ is a nationwide hospital rating system that evaluates U.S. general acute care hospitals using a balanced scorecard to measure: market strength and population growth, value-based purchasing and qualitative factors, and financial measures that project sustainability.
The median iVantage Hospital Strength Index™ score for the Top 100 CAHs is 26.20 percentile points higher than the national CAH median. The full report can be found at http://www.ivantagehealth.com/2013-Top-100-CAHs/.
