Sydney, NSW (PRWEB) May 10, 2013

Queensland Performing Arts Centre required a significant growth from online ticket sales, merchandise sales, online travel sales and also entertainment sales. QPAC wanted to benchmark themselves against the likes of Ticketek in the market.

The strategy was to increase ticket sales from 800,000 to over 1 million in a 12 month period. It was important to sell more tickets online by increasing sales from 40% to 80% and to reduce the overall operating costs.

The business originally hosted their data within the theatre, a building that was not naturally designed for hosting 24 hour ticketing infrastructure. The business knew that if they wanted 24 hour management, availability and security they were going to need a Data Centre Provider they could trust.

Macquarie Telecom offered their services to QPAC, which resulted in website maintenance time being drastically reduced. The business no longer needed to worry about the on-going cost of managing their infrastructure. IT Staff were also able to shift their focus onto other projects within the QPAC business.

The services provided by Macquarie Telecom resulted in 80% of tickets being sold online, doubling the figure from the previous year.

Overall the client was happy with key elements such as Data Security, PCI Hosting and reduced IT costs internally by using Macquarie Telecom's Data Centre as a preferred business partner.
