My Wildlife Magazine is a 100-page full color magazine about living a lifestyle connected with the land, the wildlife, the food and the traditions that are a way of life in rural Kansas. Seeing this authentic lifestyle through the lens of My Wildlife Magazine provides an enriching perspective of Kansas, especially North Central Kansas.
My Wildlife Magazine is being delivered to a growing number of readers through http://www.mywildlifemagazine.com. There were over 14,000 impressions of the digital magazine in recent months. In addition, the magazine is being delivered electronically by broker and former radio personality Nick Rhodes to his exclusive list of wildlife enthusiasts from throughout the country on http://www.mywildlifeproperty.com.
Kansas historically issues most of its out of state hunting licenses to Colorado residents. As a result, My Wildlife Magazine was distributed at the 2012 Denver’s International Sportsman Expo and Denver Metro Chamber Market Fair. In response to the increased distribution in the Denver area and the growing popularity of electronic distribution, Pelican expanded with publication of a digital version of a spring/summer edition to complement the print version of its traditional fall edition.
“We are excited about the expansion of My Wildlife Magazine from annual publication to semiannual publication”, said Casey Orr, co-publisher and editor for Pelican Publications. “Based on electronic medium activity, My Wildlife Magazine has turned into the most popular of the seven community magazines we’ve published in recent months.”
