Bothell, WA (PRWEB) May 08, 2013
Vertafore, the leading provider of software that transforms the business of insurance, today announced the summer 2013 general availability of the highly-anticipated Vertafore Single Sign-on (Single Sign-on) solution.
Developed largely due to customer and industry demand for greater accessibility and security, Single Sign-on streamlines the login process for customers that use multiple Vertafore products and services by enabling users to log in to those applications with a single user ID and password. Initially, Single Sign-on will be used to streamline Vertafore AMS360™ v7.5 customer access to the industry-leading agency management system AMS360, PL Rating™, Service 24/7, and TransactNOW™.
“Vertafore Single Sign-on has helped our agency become more efficient in our operations,” said Wes Horbatuck of Norcom Mortgage & Insurance in Avon, Conn. “Being able to update carrier passwords in one location and have them apply to several applications has helped producers quote and process new business more effectively. We are looking forward to the program growing so it can be applied to other applications.”
While the primary purpose of Vertafore Single Sign-on is to offer a significant step toward integration of all Vertafore products, there are additional benefits that can be realized by extending the Single Sign-on experience to end users. Since Single Sign-on provides a centralized user administration area, increased security and a more immediate response to changing compliance requirements are possible. Single Sign-on, a foundational component of the Vertafore Agency Platform, also includes the company’s Credential Manager solution, which provides secure, shared carrier credential storage in a single database, untethered to local desktops, thereby eliminating the need for multiple credential vaults. Further, Single Sign-on is the springboard from which Vertafore will support the ID Federation with partner carriers.
“As a founding partner of ID Federation Inc., we understand wholeheartedly the pain points experienced by our users involved with maintaining multiple user IDs and passwords, for each carrier they represent,“ said Mark Craig, SVP, product management, Vertafore. “The introduction of Vertafore Single Sign-on and its centralized credential management capabilities opens the door for forward-thinking carriers to implement Federated relationships.”
