The First Coast Worksite Wellness Council(FCWWC) and Humana present a day dedicated to wellness, featuring guest speaker and Olympic athlete Shannon Miller. More than 40 companies will be honored for their commitment to employee health and wellness at the largest annual Wellness Conference in Northeast Florida.
The 5th Annual First Coast Worksite Wellness Conference and Healthiest Awards Luncheon is on May 15, 2013 at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront, 225 East Coastline Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32202. Registration begins at 8am. The conference runs from 8:30am to 4pm. The event is an excellent opportunity to network with wellness leaders, CEOs, business owners, HR specialists, and physicians. Additionally, Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES) will earn at least four continuing education credits.
The FCWWC will honor CEOs and their Wellness Leaders with coveted Bronze, Silver, and Gold Healthiest Companies Awards. This is the first year that a select few companies achieved Platinum wellness status. The FCWWC will also recognize the top Wellness Leader candidates and the winner of the 2013 Frank Barker Wellness Leader Award. The recipient will receive $10,000. Channel 4 News Anchor Rob Sweeting will emcee the Healthiest Awards Luncheon.
Wellness is an integral component of the North Florida Business community. Attendees will learn about evidence-based programs that increase employee engagement, productivity and overall employee well-being. The conference is an excellent learning environment for any size company looking to start or expand their wellness initiatives.
Keynote Speaker Dr. Steven Aldana is one of the nation's foremost experts on healthy living and worksite wellness. His books have sold more than one million copies and are used by more than 4,500 companies. His keynote will address the ability of good nutrition and regular exercise to prevent and reverse many chronic diseases.
The General Session Speaker is Shannon Miller, Founder of the Shannon Miller Foundation, Olympic Gold Medalist and best-selling author. Miller will share health and nutrition information.
