Our [Women’s Excellence] goal is to be the most comprehensive women’s health care practice in Southeastern Michigan and I believe we have just about accomplished that
Lake Orion, Michigan (PRWEB) May 10, 2013
In 1997, Dr. Jonathan Zaidan, MD, decided to open a solo OB/GYN practice in Lake Orion, Michigan. A native Michiganian, he attended University of Michigan undergrad and Wayne State University Medical School prior to moving to Chicago for his OB/GYN residency. After his residency, Zaidan moved back to Michigan to build his life and career in his hometown. Fast forward to 2013, more than 16 years later, Dr. Zaidan’s practice has 2 primary locations (Lake Orion and Clarkston) and several specialty offices at the Lake Orion location. He employs four other physicians, seven nurse practitioners including three midwives, and over 30 medical assistants and office employees combined. Recently, Dr. Zaidan rebranded his highly successful, one-of-kind women’s health care practice in the heart of Lake Orion, as “Women’s Excellence”.
Recently, Women’s Excellence proudly sponsored the May 2013 meeting of the Orion Area Chamber of Commerce (OACC) on May 2nd, 2013. About 60 members, including the Orion Township supervisor (Chris Barnett), were in attendance for the luncheon. Debbie Henry, MSN, NP-C, nurse practitioner at Women’s Excellence in Bladder Control and Women’s Excellence in Endometriosis, was there to represent the practice. Henry gave a brief presentation on the history of the company then concluded with where the company is today highlighting current projects such as the addition of a pharmacy to the complex, located on South Lapeer Road in Lake Orion, and the newest specialty center, Women’s Excellence in Menopause. Henry stated, “Our [Women’s Excellence] goal is to be the most comprehensive women’s health care practice in Southeastern Michigan and I believe we have just about accomplished that”.
Also in her presentation, Henry attributed much of the practice’s growth and success to top-notch physicians working in collaboration with nurse practitioners. “As nurse practitioners, we can do much of what the physicians do in the office setting. We also have the luxury of spending more time with each patient. We support the physicians and they in turn support us. It’s a symbiotic relationship and we are convinced that it is the best model in which to practice medicine”, stated Henry. The OACC meeting concluded with a presentation by the Orion Township supervisor, Chris Barnett. Alaina Campbell, Executive Director of OACC, was quoted saying, “It is very impressive what Dr. Zaidan has done with his business in advancing the level of health care offered to women in the Orion area”.
