Through aggregation software technology, consumers searching for businesses or professionals at http://www.bliips.com can now find social media, deals and coupons, ratings and reviews, and more, all in a single search. Bliips demonstrated its service on April 30, 2013 at the Techcrunch Disrupt NYC conference in New York City and prepares for its official public launch on May 31, 2013.
"For more than a year we have worked hard to develop the ideal consumer search experience, tailored to businesses and professionals," says Ken Jackson, CEO of Bliips. "Now, for the first time, a consumer will find a more comprehensive search engine- presenting a range of information that once required several searches across several websites."
Bliips also aims to benefit businesses and professionals by increasing their discoverability and providing an alternative marketing platform. "From the business and professional's point of view, they will finally have a single place to showcase their presence on popular services such as Facebook, Twitter, Groupon, and Yelp," added Jackson.
Visitors of http://www.bliips.com will enjoy the simple and visual interface by searching for businesses or professionals by category and location. The search results are overlaid upon a full screen map and may be shared with friends by way of Facebook and Twitter.
Bliips was co-founded by brothers Ken Jackson, a veteran software architect, and Justin Jackson, an attorney, in Cedar Park, Texas in 2012. Bliips will remain in a closed beta until its public launch on May 31, 2013.
