For over 10 years, Kipton Cronkite has passionately built the careers of unknown emerging artists through innovative marketing via websites KiptonART and @60” – The Best of the New. As a passionate connoisseur of art and design, Cronkite built client relationships with notable interior design leaders such as Jamie Drake, Celerie Kemble, Thom Filicia, Nate Berkus, Philip Gorrivan, Robert A.M. Stern Interiors, Amy Lau and more to create a niche source for their clients. Interior designers began to leverage Cronkite’s artist relationships in 2003 when he stepped into the art world. In his curatorial debut in 2005, Cronkite selected four MFA graduates from the School of Visual Arts in New York: Alix Smith, Keren Moscovitch, Shuli Hallak and Foster Witt. Since that time, he produced over 100 events in New York, Miami and Los Angeles to build markets for unknown talent. His passion for building the careers of unknown artists has been recognized by Barron’s, the Wall Street Journal, Crain’s, Vanity Fair, Style.com, CNN and more. For Departures Home+Design Magazine, he was selected to join The Design Council in 2013 and published his first article online entitled, "Art Collecting 101: Selecting, Styling and Hanging Art."
An Oklahoma native, Kipton Cronkite was nurtured by both his grandmothers who had painted all their lives. As a teenager, art became a creative outlet for him. After moving to New York City in 2001, he had the idea to self-fund and launch one of the first online “look books” for emerging artists. Over 6 years, he produced over 100 events and exhibitions, built a roster of over 2,000 artists from all over the world and partnered with some of the most famous luxury brands in the world: Asprey, Van Cleef & Arpels, Elle Magazine, MTV, W Magazine, Hublot, Longchamp, Saks Fifth Avenue and more.
