Mike Williams understands that - after 30 years of corporate work, Williams is launching his own Growth Coach business to work with small business owners on turning struggle into success.

“For most of my 30 years in business, I have been coaching and leading teams. Generally I have met with business managers and owners who may have a startup location, or perhaps a smaller business unit trying to turn around current performance. After working with these businesses for many years, I see problems and challenges form a pattern of repeating issues,” he said.

Those issues can be anything from balancing resources with revenue, hitting the sales slump after a few years of business, dealing with critical hiring decisions, managing margins while being competitive, understanding “operational cost creep” and keeping the daily detail from replacing strategy.

“My job as a coach is to help business management identify gaps in the business and then work through improvements with proven processes and measurements for results. It’s also my job to help clients through the sticking points in the whole process,” Williams said.

Before making the move to be a business adviser, Williams served in the military and then spent 30 years as a corporate executive, corporate officer and senior vice president in the engineered machinery manufacturing industry. His main focus was business development with a specialization in organizational leadership, strategic planning and an expertise included driving growth, revenues, profitability and service values.
