Irvine, California (PRWEB) May 08, 2013
Salus Homecare, a California-based company focused on providing single source home-based services including skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and medical social services combined with caregiving services, today announced that Linda Moore has joined the team as Vice President of Contracts and Network Development.
Moore's primary focus will be on managing the contracts and network development with hospitals and health care providers for home-based services provided by Salus in California, Utah, and Colorado. She will also play a key role in new service development and working with the staff employed by Salus. Moore draws upon more than two decades of healthcare experience, most recently serving as a regional director of managed care contracting at Kindred Healthcare, where she focused on managed care contracting for 33 LTAC hospitals, 110 skilled nursing facilities, four sub-acute facilities, home health and hospice services in five states. Her experience also includes the implementation of a managed care case management program in the skilled nursing facilities with ongoing training for facility and district case managers as well as managed care revenue recovery for both hospitals and skilled nursing facilities.
"This is a challenging time in healthcare and I am excited to be a part of a company whose goals align themselves to those of the health plans, accountable care organizations (ACOs) and governmental agencies to further accountability, coordinate care for all services and redesign the care process," said Moore.
Moore’s addition to the Salus team comes at a time of growth for the home care provider that is happening both vertically and horizontally.
According to Boad Swanson, President of Salus, "The unique opportunity in the home health space and the disciplined growth of our business has enabled us to continue attracting highly experienced professionals. We are thrilled that Linda has become part of our team. Her extensive experience working with home health and home-based services greatly enhances our capabilities in this space."
