Oldsmar, FL (PRWEB) May 09, 2013
Bay Area DKI, a company specializing in water damage restoration in the Tampa Bay area, successfully assisted Bank of America Plaza with water restoration following a major pipe leak.
The leak occurred after a pipe on the 15th floor of the Bank of America Plaza broke on January 2, 2013. Water leaking from the broken pipe quickly reached down to the basement of the building and the property had to be closed due to a lack of restroom plumbing and air conditioning.
Bay Area DKI responded to the emergency call within 35 minutes. Four crews, a project manager and four fully-equipped trucks were immediately dispatched to the building to assist with the restoration project. The property management company of the building occupied by Bank of America received calls from other tenants in the building related to concerns about damage and Bay Area DKI was able to field these questions as they were received.
The restoration company had placed 15 air scrubbers, 70 dehumidifiers and 120 air movers throughout the building to facilitate a speedy restoration and reduce any negative impact that the building closure had on Bank of America Plaza. Since the bank had to remain open during business hours, Bay Area DKI worked early in the morning to remove the restoration equipment to keep it out of the way of employees and customers. Additional equipment was added to ensure that the restoration was completed by the time the bank opened for business on Monday, January 7.
