Hayes is currently doing $20,000 worth of renovations to update her home, so this win could have not come at a better time. Hayes currently lives in an old brick and block house, and the lack of insulation throughout the home was really eating at her heating and cooling costs. Hayes, along with her husband, are tearing down walls to address this issue and to make their main floor open-concept. She is also renovating her basement to brighten it and make it more comfortable for her son and dog as an alternative play area.
