According to a recent survey of 14,985 married female members on extra-marital dating site AshleyMadison.com, one in five childbearing cheaters has encountered a sticky situation while juggling mommy duties and a lover.
Of those malfeasant moms:
· 67% admitted to have taken a call from their lover in front of their child
· 56% admitted they have been late for pick up (i.e. dance, hockey, school, playdate)
· 29% changed their child’s plans in order to accommodate a rendezvous
· 4% admitted to have had to introduce their child to their lover (under a false pretense)
· 2% admitted being caught by their child in a compromising position
“I had to break my own showerhead, pretending my lover was a repairman when my child was knocking at the bathroom door.” midnightlove, 41, Houston
Despite all this naughty behavior, it appears procreators also feel less remorseful about their indiscretions. Only 8.5% of those surveyed ‘feel guilty’ about pursuing affairs online compared to 14.2 % of married women with no children. Nearly one fourth of moms said sex would be a great Mother’s Day gift from their husband but more than half would rather have sex with their affair partner.

Since 69% of AshleyMadison.com female members are moms and as the infidelity site anticipates another noticeable spike of mothers signing up the day after Mother’s Day, Ashley Madison wanted to discover what makes a Mommy Affair unique:
The survey also revealed that the majority of cheating mom will meet their lover during the day take at least 10 days to plan an offline date and chat an average of 32 minutes a day.
According to AshleyMadison.com’s founder and CEO Noel Biderman, when a woman experiences consecutive holidays or milestones without affection or appreciation, that is when the idea of taking on a potential lover takes full form. “While Mother's Day might not have the implicit romance factor of Valentine's Day or an anniversary, it’s a holiday that compels women to reflect on their relationships,” says Biderman.
More married women join AshleyMadison.com the day following Mother’s Day than any other day out of the year. Last year, there was a 439% increase over a typical Monday with over 15,000 women signing up to purse a discreet affair in one day alone.
Launched February 2002, AshleyMadison.com has become the world’s leading online dating site for extra-marital affairs, boasting more than 18 million members in 26 countries.
