“Anyone trading WTI will want eyes on Cushing and St. James to make the most informed moves,” says Chris Sternberg, Managing Director of Oil at Genscape.
Louisville, KY (PRWEB) May 09, 2013
The St. James Supply Hub Report is Genscape’s newest addition to its proprietary and patented oil monitoring network, offering a level of transparency into the crude oil market never before available. The weekly report is based on the state of play on the previous Friday for the Genscape network of proprietary pipeline and rail monitors – and includes actual storage measurement.
Genscape oil experts will discuss how this critical infrastructure is being used to obtain global prices for land-locked US crude during a May 16 webinar, ‘Advance Notice Cushing and St. James Data: Measurements Derived through Science.’
The weekly St. James report provides highly accurate storage levels for the critical crude oil storage facility in St. James, LA. It includes inbound rail movements from the PAA and Nustar terminals, outbound pipeline movements on the Capline system from St. James to Collierville, and additional granular detail of Collierville to Memphis and Collierville to Patoka spur lines.
“The St. James Supply Hub report complements our Cushing storage data with its comprehensive monitoring of the core site bringing waterborne access to Bakken. Anyone trading WTI will want eyes on Cushing and St. James to make the most informed moves,” says Chris Sternberg, Managing Director of Oil at Genscape.
On May 16 at 10am EDT, Genscape’s oil experts will explore the technology and analysis behind the company’s oil pipeline and Cushing storage measurements. They will conduct a hands-on review of how the data is derived and the scientific methodology behind how the physical commodity is measured using Genscape’s proprietary models, infrared imaging and other technology. Registration for the upcoming webinar is available at info.genscape.com/5-13-cushing-st-james-press.
