Poet juxtaposes art, society, nature and the environment in inspired manuscript.

Pepper Grease is uniquely designed to foster profound and comparable discourse in succinct content forms.

Literacy. Beauty. African American Culture. Metaphysics. Science and Technology. These ideas, interests, issues, and more are explored and revealed in a new collection of conventional poems and modern haikus written by Hardy Keith Edwards.

Pepper Grease paints a canvas upon the whims of mankind, the rhythmic dimensions of music and dance, the complexities of our philosophical quests and the radiance of natural light and cosmic energy. Edwards gives readers an eclectic book of poems concerning life, nature and social issues.

“Pepper Grease is uniquely designed to foster profound and comparable discourse in succinct content forms,” said Edwards. “Everyone can find something to read, see or enjoy with this book.”

Using the succinct poetic forms of haiku along with the Japanese poetic structure senryu, Pepper Grease juxtaposes the essence of nature’s grand scheme and the curious expressions of human consciousness and behaviors. These poems and haikus simultaneously reflect the merit of struggle and the reward of achievement.

“From children to teens to adults and from scientists to artists, Pepper Grease is a book for our time, our economy and our age,” Edwards said.
