Intelex is thrilled to announce it has been recognized as one of Canada’s 30 greenest businesses in an exclusive ranking published today in the nation’s venerated Maclean’s magazine. The study behind the ranking, facilitated by Aon Hewitt and Queen’s School of Business, considered businesses of any size, scope and industry across the country.
This achievement follows an array of awards for workplace culture and financial performance for the Toronto-based environment, health, safety (EHS) and quality management software company, but it is the first time Intelex has been nationally recognized for its environmental program. Intelex was ranked 12th on the list.
“At Intelex, our mission is to help companies achieve success and minimize their negative impacts in the world, so it’s a tremendous honour that we’re being recognized in a national list for our own achievements in environmental performance,” says Mark Jaine, Intelex President and CEO. “Across the company from frontline staff, to our pioneering Green Team, right up to the executive team we have fully embraced environmental stewardship and this ranking is a gratifying acknowledgement of the hard work we’ve put in to ensuring we minimize our negative environmental impact in the world.”
This list, which hits newsstands today in Maclean’s magazine, identifies 30 organizations whose employees believe they have incorporated environmental stewardship into their business model and corporate culture. In other words, the list is based on employee perceptions of their employer’s ‘eco-friendly’ policies and practices, using data from the Employee Opinion Survey they completed as part of the Best Employers study.
In addition to this achievement and recently being named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies by Deloitte and CIBC, Intelex has received a variety of other awards and accolades in recent years. With four consecutive years on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 North America and inclusion in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 Canada, Intelex is regularly named one of Canada’s top employers in rankings published in The Globe and Mail, The Toronto Star, La Presse and PROFIT Magazine.
