A clean sweep at this year’s Communicator Awards speaks volumes about what we’ve been able to accomplish with Evolve U in such short time
akron, ohio (PRWEB) May 14, 2013
Evolve U may only be five months old, but it’s proving to be very advanced for its age. The dynamic, educational arm of Evolve Creative Group, an Akron, Ohio-based Web design and online marketing company, took some big first steps by collecting a gold or silver award for each of its three entries at the 2013 Communicator Awards.
Founded nearly two decades ago, The Communicator Awards receives over 6,000 entries from companies and agencies of all sizes, making it one of the largest awards of its kind in the world. It’s sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of Visual Arts, an invitation-only group consisting of top-tier professionals from acclaimed media, communications, advertising, creative and marketing firms. Evolve U took home one gold and two silver awards in multiple categories, including Online Video, Content Marketing and Corporate Identity.
The three winning entries included:
- Evolve U Animation, Online Video – Animation, Gold
- Evolve U Blog, Content Marketing – Blog, Silver
- Evolve U Logo, Corporate Identity – Logo, Silver
“A clean sweep at this year’s Communicator Awards speaks volumes about what we’ve been able to accomplish with Evolve U in such short time,” said Todd Bertsch, owner and president of Evolve Creative Group. “It really is a brand based on a passion for learning and education, and I’m honored and humbled to see that passion rewarded for both the quality of its content and overall design.”
Despite the strong showing at the Communicator Awards, Bertsch says he isn’t measuring Evolve U solely by the amount of awards it collects. A veteran collegiate-level educator, he said education is a core value he’s worked to infuse into his business, and Evolve U has been paying dividends in that area by successfully drawing in and maintaining an active, online community that debates topics related to just about everything regarding the online marketing channel through a variety of mediums.
Leading that charge has been Web Marketing Strategist, SEO/PPC/Social Media Dave Crader.
“Developing a great blog starts with developing great content that users need and want, while placing emphasis on topics that are unique and compelling,” he said. “A lot of effort goes into each and every post that ends up on Evolve U – the research, the medium selection, the attention to the little things – it all plays a part.
“I really believe this extra effort is what’s led to Evolve U’s quick success,” he added, “and our showing at the Communicator Awards is proof of that. What we’re doing, we’re obviously doing very well.”
