Miller-Valentine Group is proud to announce the grand opening of Columbus’ most desirable affordable housing community designed for active adults over 55 years of age, Central Park Place. The ceremony will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 starting at 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at 1500 E. 13th Street, Columbus, IN 47201.

This event will feature speakers, Brandon Hergott, Regional Director, Office of U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly, Jacob Sipe, Executive Director of Multi-Family, Indiana Housing & Development Authority who will be speaking on behalf of Governor Michael Pence and Lt. Governor Sue Ellspermann, State of Indiana, Carl Lienhoop, Commissioner Chairman, Bartholomew County, and Former Mayor Fred Armstrong. In addition to these distinguished gentlemen, we’ll hear from two residents sharing their story about how Central Park Place Apartments has impacted their lives.

Miller-Valentine Group worked with Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing, PR Mortgage, Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority, Federal Home Loan Bank of Indiana and the City of Columbus to bring this amazing project to fruition. Central Park Place, a brand new 3 story urban feeling building was constructed using green features such as reclaimed hardwood flooring and has an atrium lobby which gives a distinct, open and luxurious feel to this community that is unique to the market. Inside the one and two bedrooms apartments, residents enjoy gourmet kitchens with ample pantries, full-size front loading pedestal washer/dryers, and step-in showers. Central Park Place features 24-hour state-of-the-art fitness & business centers, media and community rooms to accommodate the current lifestyles of our active adult residents. Despite the contemporary luxury look and feel, Central Park Place offers very affordable rates which were made possible through an efficient financing package that included Section 42 Housing Tax Credits provided by Indiana Housing and Community Development.

Central Park Place has already boosted the local economy by providing almost $10 million in income for the local economy. This includes wages for workers and revenue for local proprietors, small businesses, and corporations. In addition, Central Park Place Apartments generated 128 new jobs during its construction for local contractors and sub-contractors.
