San Francisco, California (PRWEB) May 11, 2013
Got Light, San Francisco Bay Area Event Lighting Design Company, will design another spectacular event for revelers at San Francisco Symphony’s Spring Gala on Thursday, May 16, 2013. Headlined by Grammy-nominated artist Janelle Monáe, the concert event will benefit the Orchestra’s music and education programs. Both the pre-party and after-party at San Francisco City Hall will be transformed by Got Light’s signature style of elegance, artistry, and fun. Entering their fifth year as the Symphony’s exclusive fundraising event lighting designers, Got Light is also established as one of San Francisco City Hall’s featured and preferred companies.
As twilight descends the evening of May 16, 2013, Got Light will magically transform San Francisco City Hall aglow in soft springtime colors of lilac, purple, and teal. The majestic Rotunda will be immersed with projected floral graphics, giving a youthful glow to the pre-concert cocktail and dining party. Immediately following the concert at Davies Symphony Hall, partygoers will be revitalized within City Hall’s breathtaking Rotunda and second floor balcony areas converted into the evening’s high-energy dance party. Got Light will expertly layer color, texture, kinetic movement, and subtle highlights taking this event from ‘lit’ to ‘WOW.’ The after-party will include a reception with artists, VIP lounge, live band, DJ, dance floor, cocktails, and savory treats.
Enjoying a long-lasting relationship with the San Francisco Symphony, Got Light has created fantastically memorable lighting designs for their signature celebratory fundraising events including the Black and White Ball, Chinese New Year Galas, Opening Night Galas, New Year’s Eve Galas, 100 Years Gala, Masquerade Balls and beyond. Similarly, Got Light has been hand-selected as one of San Francisco City Hall’s featured professionals, as industry experts to enhance their many occasions, from blowout street-closing celebrations to intimate wedding ceremonies.
A groundbreaking, genre-blurring singer, songwriter, producer, and performer, Janelle Monáe’s inventive style melds a refined pop sensibility with an extraordinary postmodern mash-up of soul, funk, and rock ‘n’ roll. Monáe will perform new arrangements of her critically acclaimed music, created especially for this benefit performance, with the San Francisco Symphony, who provides the most extensive education programs offered by any American orchestra today.
