Tonbridge, Kent (PRWEB UK) 12 May 2013
Mike Norrie, a director at Castle Corporate Finance, advised Goudhurst-based security group, Swift Alarms, on its acquisition of Crimewave Solutions. A total of 16 local deals were nominated for the KCFA Deal of the Year. Castle Corporate Finance was also recently shortlisted for Corporate Finance Adviser of the Year at the 2013 Insider Dealmaker Awards.
The KCFA awards were presented by KCFA chairman, John Harley, at a ceremony which took place at the Innovation Centre Medway in Chatham.
A Bedfordshire-based provider of CCTV, intruder alarms and investigation services to national retail and leisure sectors, Crimewave Solutions was established 11 years ago by managing director Justin Hammond, who remains with Swift Group to further develop the business.
Roger Rawlings, Swift Alarms Group chairman, says: “Mike kept his foot hard down on the deal accelerator and promptly dealt with all challenges in a constructive and positive manner. We at Swift are excited at the national expansion prospects Crimewave Solutions can deliver for the whole group.”
Adds Mike Norrie: “We saw Crimewave Solutions as being a perfect fit for Swift, the deal negotiations were intense but most satisfying in that all parties wanted a prompt completion – 12 weeks from start to completion is indeed a swift conclusion.”
It was very much a West Kent transaction, with solicitors Warners (Jonathan Roberts) and accountants Lindeyer Francis Ferguson (John Francis) also being retained by Swift.
Crimewave Solutions was the second acquisition managed by Castle for Swift, following the purchase of fire protection specialist Safyre in 2008.
KCFA Deal of the Year 2012 went to the £35 million sale of Kent developer Hillreed Homes to Persimmon PLC, advised by asb law.
Uniquely voted for by partners and peers, the KCFA awards were launched to recognise the best deals carried out by KCFA members in the Kent and South East region throughout 2012.
