Rosslyn, VA (PRWEB) May 10, 2013
Thermopylae Sciences & Technology (TST), a Premier Google Enterprise Partner offering web-enabled geospatial, mobile, and cloud solutions for the Federal government and commercial business, was named one of the “Best Places to Work” by the Washington Business Journal. TST was previously named a “Best Place to Work” for 2010 as well as an honorable mention for Washingtonian’s Great Places to Work in 2011. Other recent awards for TST include the Google Enterprise 2012 Innovation Partner of the Year in Maps for Business as well as a part of C4ISR Journal’s Innovation Award category for Biggest Breakthroughs of 2012.
Each year, the Washington Business Journal recognizes the best places to work in the Greater Washington area based on the results of an employee survey, which evaluates 10 different areas: team effectiveness, retention, employee alignment with company goals, trust with co-workers, individual contribution, manager effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, work engagement, and people practices. Employee responses dictate where companies place in the final standings.
Hundreds of nominees from the greater DC metro area competed for the honor this year and TST ranked as one of the top companies. With 115 employees based in Arlington, Virginia, TST competes in the Medium category and must have a minimum of 70% of employees respond to the questionnaire in order to be eligible to compete. The awards were formally announced at a luncheon yesterday at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner with TST in attendance. The leading companies will be profiled in the Washington Business Journal in June. Once the final standings are released, TST will receive a detailed report showing how they performed against the competition.
