The Helen Foundation has successfully completed a multi-site study of 500 fibromyalgia patients using the physician-supervised treatment plan (Microdose Therapy™) described within its website http://www.helenfoundation.com. The average pain and related symptom reduction was 77%. Optimum symptom control occurred within six weeks and was maintained thereafter. No significant side effects were reported.

Virgil Stenberg, of the Helen Foundation, points out that the percentage improvement was based on patient judgment of disease severity. To accomplish this, participants rated their own pain and symptom intensity level on the 0 to 10 number scale for each of 50 fibromyalgia symptoms daily. The resulting data was processed into percentage change from the starting symptom level.

Patient evaluation of their own degree of wellness before, during and after treatment is appropriate since there are no laboratory assessments capable of accurately measuring fibromyalgia severity, and the ultimate objective of medicine is patient satisfaction.

Patient judgment of wellness obtained in this way agreed with physician judgment of patient progress.

At 77% average symptom improvement, participants were satisfied with the results. Most pain disappeared and body energy level returned to normal.

Stenberg explains, “In a 1990 medical journal article, we proposed the cause of fibromyalgia with supporting animal experiments. If this proposal were correct, the solution to fibromyalgia is apparent."

Stenberg summarizes, “It is gratifying to find our apparent solution appears to have solved the disease. Of course, 77% symptom control is not 100%. However, there might have been permanent damage done by the disease that is not reversible.”

Dr. Stenberg is devoted to the mission of The Helen Foundation because he cares about people who are suffering. He has a solution that can relieve the suffering of millions. That is why he founded The Helen Foundation.
