In April 2013, Bananagrams super fan Dame Judi Dench received the "Top Banana" medal from Bananagrams owner and CEO Rena Nathanson.

According to a http://www.telegraph.co.uk report, Downton Abbey actress Penelope Wilton was introduced to Banangrams by Judi Dench on the set of a film in India. "Judi Dench was on the film, too, and introduced us to the game Bananagram. She’s extremely good at it.”
