North Chicago, IL and Stuart, FL (PRWEB) May 14, 2013
Leading motorcoach manufacturer and longtime Liberty Coach partner Prevost has announced the introduction of a driver’s side DEF filler inlet design for its H3-45 VIP motorcoaches.
According to the announcement, which came from the Canadian firm’s headquarters, the new component will have a start-of-production date of April 30, 2013. A retrofit will also be made available to owners of existing Prevost motorhomes equipped with EPA10 and later engines.
It’s welcome news for Liberty Coach owners eager to take advantage of the growing number of fueling stations that are adding DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) pumps next to their diesel pumps. The new DEF filler has been thoroughly tested to ensure it is fully operational with North-American filling stations and complies with long-standing Prevost quality standards.
Liberty and Prevost have been working together since 1979, when Liberty became the first motorcoach manufacturer to build on a Prevost chassis. The history of the modern coach conversion industry really dates from that day, as a steady stream of newcomers entered the market in an effort to emulate the enduring success of the Prevost-Liberty collaboration.
“We’re proud to be associated with Prevost and their legacy of innovation in motorcoach design,” said Frank Konigseder, Liberty Coach Vice President and co-owner. “They’ve always been quick to respond to new customer needs, and the new DEF filler design is just the latest example of that. We’re eager to pass it along to Liberty Coach owners as soon as it’s ready.”
