GuitarControl.com, the company that says they won’t stop until the whole world can the guitar, has released yet another free lesson that focuses on how to play the blues. The video clip lasts for 2 minutes and the nice thing is that it can be viewed unlimitedly, until the person that is practicing is comfortable with playing the content that’s covered.

The teacher in this tutorial is Jon Maclennan, a versatile and capable guitarist that happens to be regular instructor on the company’s team. Jon has the exceptional ability of demonstrating and explaining things in a clear and easy to understand way. Therefore, players of all skill levels and experience should be able to follow this guitar lesson.

However, this blues lesson is a little bit different from others, whereas rather than playing in the traditional style by striking chords, single note lines are played instead. Otherwise, it’s a standard A7 12 bar progression and the chords used are A7, D7, and E7. Also, blues guitar tabs are provided, which are an effective and sometimes even essential tool. Tabs are a simple form of musical notation that display finger positioning on the fretboard.

For those that would like to learn how to play blues on guitar or pretty much any other style for that matter, Guitar Control may be able to help. Currently, they have close to 300 videos on You Tube alone as well as a long list of low cost DVD lessons that are available for delivery via their website. So today, it seems for sure that the guitar info someone may be searching for, is really no more than a click away!
