QHR client hospitals Franklin Foundation Hospital (Franklin, LA), North Valley Hospital (Whitefish, MT) and West Park Hospital (Cody, WY) were recently ranked among Becker's Hospital Review "100 Great Places to Work in Healthcare." The 2013 list was developed through nominations and editorial research.
"This recognition is significant because employee satisfaction leads to increased quality and patient satisfaction, both vital in the future success of hospitals," said QHR President and CEO James L. Horrar. "QHR is proud to partner with hospitals so committed to their hospital staff – and local communities."
According to Becker's Hospital Review, Franklin Foundation Hospital "recognizes the importance of employee retention, and as a result, many employees have been with the facility for more than 20 years." The hospital's CEO, Parker Templeton said, "We believe that investing in employee satisfaction is key to providing excellent care to our local community."
Another QHR client hospital named to the list is North Valley Hospital. Becker's Hospital Review selected North Valley for its wellness program incentives, rebates for gym memberships, spa services, and monthly peer-nominated awards. Of the recognition, North Valley Hospital's CEO, Jason Spring said, "Quality care begins with providing our staff with the tools they need to provide the best care possible. Everyone here is a valuable partner--the Board, nurses, physicians, surgeons and staff are all compassionate people who are committed to our community."
As the county's largest employer, West Park Hospital values employees' input and also provides daycare services for employees' children. Doug McMillan, CEO of West Park Hospital, said, "Cody is extremely fortunate to have a medical community that’s incredibly large and progressive for a town of its size. We are committed to creating an environment that benefits the employees and patients, and directly impacts the quality and availability of healthcare in our community.”
