Sturgis, South Dakota (PRWEB) May 14, 2013
The Sturgis Buffalo Chip® announces Daredevil Wednesday, a day of daring and exciting stunts to take place during the popular summer music and motorcycle festival. For the first time, ever a Calling All Daredevils contest is also taking place where Daredevils nationwide can submit their own stunts to be selected, big or small, to join a day of history being made. Multiple stunts are currently already planned to attempt to set World Records, making for a memorable experience for Daredevils and Sturgis rally attendees alike. Daredevil Wednesday takes place August 7, 2013 at the CrossRoads at the Buffalo Chip Free Public Access area during the Sturgis motorcycle rally. Daredevils interested in submitting a stunt can do so online at http://www.buffalochip.com or via email to info(at)buffalochip(dot)com.
Guinness Book of World Records officials will be on site to substantiate already planned world record breaking stunts, including Toby Baker’s and Clint Ewing’s rival head to head attempt to bring back the title of Longest Motorcycle Ride Through a Tunnel of Fire to the United States, two very dangerous death defying stunts. Stuntman Patch McGillicutty will also attempt to set a world record of over 91 miles per hour inside a Wall of Death on his motorcycle. An additional unique event will include the American National UniMotorcycle Society UniMotorcycle Drag Races that intend to bring back the one-wheeled motorcycling drag race speed title from Russia. Additional events, stunts and highlights will be announced as Calling All Daredevils submissions are added to the spectacular day of events. Daredevil Wednesday will take place at the CrossRoads at the Buffalo Chip on Wednesday August 7 and will be an all-day event.
“This day should be one of the most exciting and memorable events of the entire Sturgis rally,” says Rod Woodruff, President of the Sturgis Buffalo Chip. “There has never been a more thrilling opportunity for Daredevils and excited onlookers to experience a day that will quite literally go down in the history books, not only of Guinness, but also the motorcycle rally.”
The Sturgis Buffalo Chip Calling All Daredevils campaign encourages daredevils nationwide to send in information regarding a unique or thrilling stunt that fans would enjoy. With media all around and the Guinness book of world records in attendance, participating in Daredevil Wednesday could be the opportunity of a lifetime for those individuals who make the cut. Individuals seeking to have their stunt considered to be part of this August 7, 2013 event should submit their information to info(at)buffalochip(dot)com before July 7.
