Valley Stream, NY (PRWEB) May 14, 2013
Dr. Robert Beckelman, general and cosmetic dentist in Valley Stream, NY recently introduced CEREC technology at his local practice to offer complete smile restorations within one office visit. The CEREC technology now offered by Dr. Beckelman can be used to produce ceramic crowns, veneers, fillings, and onlays. This new technology also offers patients other benefits such as less drilling, fewer injections, and less removal of the damaged tooth.
CEREC, which stands for Chair side Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, uses computer 3-D imaging software and a revolutionary milling unit with diamond blades to create ceramic restorations with the highest precision available in the industry. Each ceramic block can be milled into a new restorative unit within 10-20 minutes. The CEREC unit eliminates the need to send patient molds to external labs to create ceramic restorative units and allows patients to receive a new smile in just one office visit.
“The CEREC machine has really transformed the way we do restorative dentistry at our office,” said Dr. Robert Beckelman of Valley Stream, NY. “Instead of having to visit our office two to three times for one restorative treatment, our patients can now just schedule one visit and have their smile drastically improved in just a couple hours.”
Patient reviews of Dr. Beckelman’s CEREC restoration procedures have been outstanding. They report being surprised at how simple the entire procedure was and preferring the increased convenience of saving time with their much-needed procedure.
In addition restorative dentistry, Dr. Beckelman and his Valley Stream, NY dental staff provide a variety of other general and cosmetic services including orthodontics, treatments for sleep apnea, neuromuscular dentistry, oral cancer screenings, treatments for TMJ disorder, laser dentistry, and more.
“My treatment philosophy is based on prevention and evidence-based choices for treatment,” said Dr. Beckelman. “All techniques and materials used are proven and held to the highest standards of success and comfort.”
