Prime Surgical Centers announced the opening of their flagship surgery center at Damle Path, Off Law College Road in Pune. Announcing this to the press, Prime’s Founder & CEO Amar Pradhan said “Prime develops and manages surgery centers in partnership with surgeons who have a reputation for clinical excellence and ethics. With a singular focus on patient experience, Prime provides surgical services that are planned and non-emergency in nature. A Prime patient will experience a service that features technologically current diagnostic, surgical and nursing care in an environment that is friendly and less institutional compared to a traditional hospital.” Elaborating further, Mr. Pradhan said “We have positioned Prime between a traditional nursing home and a tertiary care hospital and have developed a facility that builds on the strengths of each of them. Prime combines the convenience and friendliness of a neighborhood nursing home and the medical infrastructure and standard of care of any hospital of international repute.”
Prime’s Sr. VP of Operations, Brig (Dr.) Bobdey added, “We have provided our surgeons with the best equipment required to support their specialties. Prime focuses on providing patients advanced surgical technologies such as lasers, endoscopic techniques, fiber optics and arthroscopy to reduce surgical trauma, pain and length of stay. In addition, we are highly focused on developing our own standards of nursing care and training and believe that the best surgeons paired with cutting edge technologies and supported by humane yet highly skilled nursing care will set the benchmark for surgical care in India. Prime will stabilize operations at its first center and will then aggressively expand operations to Tier II cities across India. These are areas where the population will benefit the most from our philosophy of health delivery.”
Prime’s flagship facility in Pune is built to international standards with 4 operating rooms, a procedure room, an OPD, a diagnostic center and 18 beds. Prime commenced operations by offering surgical services in Spine, Urology, Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine, and GI and General Surgery.
