Menlo Park, California (PRWEB) May 16, 2013
Elastic Intelligence, developer and marketer of the Connection Cloud, today announced it has been included in the prestigious list of "Cool Vendors in Information Infrastructure and Big Data, 2013” report by Gartner, Inc., published April 30, 2013. The Connection Cloud enables users to pull data directly from the cloud – where the data resides – by bypassing cumbersome APIs and creating a virtual query language that enables access to the underlying data. It opens up a much larger universe of data to BI users who previously had to contend with siloed data and time-consuming interim steps to get to the information.
The Gartner report states, “The Cool Vendors profiled in this analysis deliver new and interesting approaches for addressing the rapidly growing need for ingesting, understanding, persisting and provisioning information assets in support of traditional and emerging information use cases.” Gartner analysts Ted Friedman, Andrew White, Roxanne Edjlali, Eric Thoo, Frank Buytendijk, Regina Casonato and Donald Feinberg authored the report, which is available at http://www.gartner.com/resId=2464215
According to Gartner, new SaaS access technologies should be of interest to, “information architects, data integration teams, service-oriented-architecture focused architects and developers concerned about data being trapped in SaaS silos.”
In its recommendations section, the report says, “Allow experimentation by making use of new approaches and technologies such as open-source solutions, cloud-based delivery models and NoSQL database capabilities. This is not a time for totalitarian standardization. Single-vendor solutions and a one-size-fits-all information use cases approach are no longer viable.”
“We are delighted to be included in the Cool Vendor report by Gartner. We believe it further validates our truly revolutionary solution that knocks down the walls of cloud applications making data easily accessible for all businesses who have been struggling with expensive traditional solutions,” said Elastic Intelligence CEO Ajay Singh. “The migration of businesses and consumers to cloud data use is one of the most powerful developments in modern information technology. However, the trajectory of the Connection Cloud in the market and our rapid user adoption rate, particularly in the financial management market, indicates there are long standing challenges reporting on their SaaS data. The time is right for an easy, economical solution that enables data to be retrieved from the cloud, where it resides, so companies and users can fully realize the potential of the cloud.”
