Now that we’re a DOL-approved testing location, we’re happy to offer our students the convenience of taking their knowledge and skills tests at our schools.

http://www.udrivesafe.com/ The State of Washington’s Department of Licensing (DOL) recently announced a landmark decision in regards to driving tests and driving instruction. The DOL will no longer administer state driving tests, and will instead outsource them to local driving schools. Munros’ Driving Instruction, a state-certified driving school with locations across Washington State, is proud to be contracted by the DOL as an approved testing site.
The Washington State DOL has decided to outsource the administration of knowledge and skills testing to local driving schools. This decision comes as a result of several months of deliberation and testing at local levels, the results of which showed a higher success rate in skills and knowledge tests when they were administered by the same school that instructed the students. This new procedure will also save license applicants time and reduce the waiting time associated with getting a driver’s license.
Not all driving schools are contracted by the DOL to administer these tests. Munros’ Driving Instruction is proud to be one of the select Washington State driving schools that meet the DOL’s standards of accreditation. Munros’ Driving Instruction offers a wide variety of driving classes, including CDL courses, stick shift lessons, and defensive driving courses. Now that Munros’ is a DOL approved testing location, students can also take their knowledge and/or skills tests at Munros’ as well, giving them the benefit of testing with the same instructors that taught their driving classes.
“Now that we’re a DOL-approved testing location, we’re happy to offer our students the convenience of taking their knowledge and skills tests at our schools,” says Veronica Munro, owner of Munros’ Driving Instruction. “This way, they don’t have to spend time waiting in long lines at DOL offices or waiting for an appointment to take a road test.”
Not only is testing at local driving schools more convenient, it also helps driving schools improve their curricula, says Munro. “Being a DOL-approved testing location allows us to seamlessly coordinate our classes with the demands of DOL tests. We’re proud to offer classes that are specifically designed to help our students achieve the best results possible on their written test and road test.”
