Milwaukie, OR (PRWEB) May 15, 2013
In order to better serve Connecticut National Guard members, local uniform superstore, USA Military Medals, is now offering select Connecticut State military ribbons.
The six ribbons – including the Connecticut National Guard Desert Storm Campaign Ribbon, Connecticut National Guard Emergency Service Ribbon, Connecticut National Guard Long Service Medal Ribbon, Connecticut National Guard Medal of Merit Ribbon, Connecticut National Guard Medal of Valor Ribbon and the Connecticut Selected Reserve Force Medal ribbon – are available in the so-called “thin” variant and the slide-on standard ribbons.
“Connecticut Soldiers go through the same things that Soldiers here in Oregon go through,” said USAMM President of Business Operations, Jared Zabaldo. USAMM, out of Milwaukie, Ore. owns and operates USA Military Medals along with various other military uniform e-commerce stores.
“It’s simply a matter of geography,” he said.
While also providing online support with the hi-tech program “EZ Rack Builder” – a free uniform tool for any branch of service – UMM stocks over 12,000 uniform products.
“Unfortunately for Connecticut folks, there are only a few installations over there, including two National Guard bases in Groton and Hartford, but that’s literally it,” said Zabaldo.
Additionally, UMM is offering ready-to-wear, milspec racks built in precedence and shipped within hours of ordering. From military slang, a military ribbon or medal “rack” refers to the colorful rows of awards typically found above the wearer’s left pocket on U.S. armed forces dress uniforms.
“So just being available with Connecticut awards on hand simply makes sense,” said Zabaldo.
USA Military Medals is an internet-based company formed in 2005, carrying more than 12,000 dress uniform products in stock and specializing in custom military medal and military ribbon rack production with their state-of-the-art rack builder. USA Military Medals also operates a brick and mortar store servicing local military personnel and veterans.
