On May 17, Scott Brodsky, CEO of Empire Digital Products, a leading copier company, responds to an article about entrepreneurship from Forbes and discusses what it means to be an entrepreneur.

An article from Forbes reports a study about how professionals define entrepreneurship. Ninety-percent of those surveyed said that being an entrepreneur means having a certain attitude, replacing the typical definition, “someone who starts a company.” Today’s entrepreneur is someone who has the innate ability to see an opportunity and take advantage of it.

Of the young adults who responded to the survey, 58 percent thought of themselves as entrepreneurs, even those who were still in college. The reason that many people, young and old, pursue entrepreneurship is the freedom that comes with being your own boss. “Workers are recognizing that they need to have an entrepreneurial mindset to be successful today, and as they start thinking more creatively, traditional companies will need to do the same,” the article says.

Empire Digital Products CEO, Scott Brodsky, finds that having the right mentality is essential in entrepreneurship. “Being creative and knowing when to jump on an opportunity are important traits to have if you wish to be successful,” he says. “It’s these people who are ahead of the game that move us forward. Having the freedom to follow your own ideas can lead to great work for clients and happiness for yourself.”

Empire Digital Products is currently one of the most well respected copier dealerships in New York. Their dual focus is on reducing overhead and enhancing document workflow. With the best service department in the industry and a very capable staff it is no wonder Empire has met with such success.
