Frontline Test Equipment, Inc. is pleased to debut their newest test tool – the Genos GNSS Simulator. The Genos GNSS Simulator is a high-dynamics, flexible, global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) signal emulator for use in testing satellite navigation functionality. The Genos simulator is able to emulate satellite signals visible to GNSS receivers for any location around the world, for any time, and for any trajectory.
Satellite navigation capability has become a staple for electronics devices and can be found in a vast array of products in use today. From automobiles, to smart phones, to watches, and tablets, devices need to be able to identify their global positions and relay that back to their internal systems and end users. Testing and developing this satellite navigation functionality can be challenging when faced with the numerous satellite systems in place around the world. The Genos GNSS Simulator can emulate signals from one or more of the following satellite systems: GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, Beidou, QAZZ and SBAS (WAAS and EGNOSS). Being able to emulate these various systems means global, more reliable compatibility and offers tremendous development savings in travel costs alone, not to mention improving time to market, interoperability, and accuracy.
Frontline licensed this technology from Galileo Satellite Navigation Ltd. “The Genos GNSS simulator is the result of years of development and offers a staggering array of features and benefits to our customers,” says Eli Ariel, Galileo CEO and founder. “Frontline is the perfect company to bring this powerful simulator to a broad range of customers worldwide”.
“The Genos GNSS Simulator gives our customers exactly what they need – an easy, reliable, and cost effective way to develop, troubleshoot, and test their GNSS embedded devices against multiple satellite systems. And they can do it all right from their own labs!” says David Bean, Frontline President. “It’s a great addition to our expanding line of tools that help our customers improve reliability, guarantee interoperability, and shorten time to market for their products.”
