NEW YORK, NY (PRWEB) May 22, 2013
The rapidly growing technology company, NoWait today announced the addition of the newest feature, NoWait Floor Map, to the company's iPad based table management service. The NoWait Floor Map is a customized, digital version of a restaurant's floor plan that allows restaurants to seat customers more quickly and optimize table turns.
NoWait previewed the new Floor Map feature last weekend at the National Restaurant Association’s annual show in Chicago, IL, and has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from restaurant operators eager to adopt the new technology.
"Over the last year NoWait's wait list management app has been a huge win for our bottom line by helping us to retain and seat more of the guests who walk in our front door," said “Texas” Todd Sapet, MP of Texas Roadhouse, Monaca, PA. "That said, I believe that NoWait's floor map functionality will allow us to achieve even more efficiency with our front-of-house operations."
For both restaurants currently using NoWait's wait list management service, as well as restaurants that don't experience a wait, the new Floor Map feature will further simplify the hosting process, completely eliminating the clutter of grease pens, buzzers, and other antiquated table management systems from the host stand.
As is the case with NoWait's basic wait list management service, use of the Floor Map feature is completely free for restaurants - with additional features and functionality available in a variety of cost efficient packages.
"I'm extremely excited about the release of the NoWait Floor Map," said CEO, Ware Sykes. "Not only will this new feature provide huge incremental value to restaurants already using our wait list management technology, but it will also make NoWait relevant to the 150,000 full service restaurants across the country that don't experience waits. While today the NoWait Floor Map will drive increased efficiency for operators, in the future it will also deliver powerful insights - from the distribution of party size by time of day to predictive wait times and more."
Since receiving its first round of venture funding in August 2012, NoWait has seen the number of monthly restaurant guests seated via its system grow nearly 300% to well over a million diners a month. Sykes says the explosive growth is coming from a combination of forces: owners looking for technology to help drive efficiency and profit, and the increasing adoption of smart phones and other mobile technology by diners and hosts/hostesses.
