Vatterott College’s St. Charles campus now offers CISCO training as part of its continuing education courses. CISCO training is advanced Information Technology (IT) training for CISCO System products. CISCO is a company that designs, manufactures and sells networking equipment. The CISCO Networking Academy at Vatterott College offers four eight week courses to prepare students for the CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA ) exam.
Each of the four-week IT training courses offers training in a specific area including: Network Fundamentals, Routing Protocols and Concepts, LAN Switching and Wireless and Accessing the WAN. At the completion of the 32 weeks, a one week “boot camp” is offered to tie together all information from the courses.
“The IT world is evolving at a rapid pace,” said Allison Johnson, Campus Director at Vatterott College - St. Charles. “The CISCO Networking Academy provides affordable training that offers students the opportunity to learn theory and experience hands-on training in our brand new CISCO lab.”
The CISCO Networking Academy at Vatterott College helps students build 21st century skills, such as collaboration and problem solving, by encouraging practical application of knowledge through hands-on activities and network simulations. This advanced training in CISCO programs and networking helps students prepare for the CCNA exam through instruction in networking skills including: installation, configuration, operation and troubleshooting of enterprise networks.
