Eagle Biosciences is proud to announce the product launch of a brand new Calprotectin ELISA assay kit that offers the widest measurement range of any available assay (1-2000 µg/g stool). The Calprotectin ELISA assay kit is designed for quick and easy determination of human Calprotectin (neutrophil cytoplasmic protein s100A8/A9, MRP 8/14) in stool samples. This launch further expands EagleBio’s gastrointestinal assay line which already includes Alpha 1 Antitrypsin ELISA, Anti-Gliadin IgG ELISA, Anti-Gliadin sIgA/IgA ELISA, Celiac EmA (Anti- Endomysium Antibody) IgG ELISA, Eosinophil Derived Neurotoxin (EDN) ELISA,Myeloperoxidase (MPO) Stool/Urine ELISA, Rotavirus Antigen ELISA, and Secretory IgA (sIgA) ELISA.
“This ELISA kit has excellent analytical sensitivity, as low as 1.8 µg/g, and results can be produced in about two hours with the added ease of incubations at room temperature,” said Dan Keefe, President of Eagle. “We are very excited about this product launch because calprotectin continues to gain enormous amounts of attention with regards to its significant role in gastrointestinal research and more specifically intestinal inflammation, especially now that the patent on measuring calprotectin in stool has expired and has opened the door for more players into the market.”
Keefe continued, “I have strong expectations that our Calprotectin ELISA assay kit will become an outstanding tool to researchers in the field. The product offers significant flexibility and efficiency as the kit can be used with most open automated assay systems. Looking forward, we will be complementing our ELISA product line with Calprotectin ELISA for serum/plasma in addition to other new kits in development that include NGAL ELISA for stool and MPO ELISA for stool.”
Eagle is offering promotional pricing for researchers measuring Calprotectin through the next few months. These assay kits are currently for research use only. Check out the Eagle website http://www.EagleBio.com or call 866-411-8023 for full details.
