Kenall Transportation Product Selection Guide Features Expansive Product Line

Kenall's new Transportation Product Selector Guide makes selecting Kenall products for transportation efficient and easy.

Gurnee, IL (PRWEB) June 11, 2013

Kenall Manufacturing, a leading provider of commercial lighting solutions, has launched a new Transportation Product Selector Guide (PSG) that will help make specifying Kenall products for transportation projects efficient and easy. From platforms to parking structures and everything in between, Kenall’s products, ideal for transportation lighting, are now located in one brochure.

The full-color, 72-page PSG features new and exciting products, along with the company’s existing, reliable products; many of which are used in high-profile projects across the country. Included are Kenall’s comprehensive selection of lighting solutions ideal for underpasses, tunnels, platform/general areas, stairwells/corridors, parking structures and surface lots.

Transportation lighting systems must endure some of the most challenging physical and environmental conditions,” said Jim Hawkins, Kenall president and CEO. “It is critical they be built to address application specific challenges. A strong tunnel lighting solution, for example, must consider the visual adjustments upon entering or exiting the tunnel. Our new PSG makes it easy for our customers to select the correct product for the job keeping the industry’s ‘best practices’ in mind.”

The products featured in the PSG have been tested to ensure ingress protection with (IP) ratings and are corrosion resistant. Select products have also been vibration tested.

Product highlights include:

  • New Luxtran™ Series, for use in tunnels, underpasses and general areas, support the driver’s visual perceptions both day and night. The luminaires are equipped with variable lamp sources, flexible mounting configurations, compatibility with controls (by others), and specially designed optical systems to address the complex and highly specialized needs of transportation areas.
  • Durable Millenium™ Stretch architectural high abuse lighting for transit areas where durability is crucial. The luminaires deliver appropriate light levels for platforms, stairwells and corridors. The fixture's vandal-resistance is ideal for unsupervised areas.
  • Award-winning TekDek™ and TopDek™ Series advanced lighting for parking structures. They are designed with unprecedented optics and provide glare reduction. Cutting-edge thermal management maximizes LED life and performance. When used with SmartSense™ Micro option, the luminaires provide additional cost- and energy-savings.

In addition to products in the PSG, Kenall is poised to deliver application specific customizations. The company’s extensive in-house capabilities enable them to produce lighting for the most complex transportation lighting projects, controlling the entire development process from fixture design and engineering, to full-fledged metal fabrication, painting and testing.
