Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) June 11, 2013
Mike Trout of the Los Angeles Angels is expected to top his rookie season in all categories. He may have had a slow start in 2013, but he has turned his game around and is on the way to success once again. Last year, the Millville High School graduate in New Jersey won American League Rookie of the Year and finished runner-up in the Most Valuable Player race to Detroit’s Miguel Cabrera, who also won the triple crown. Trout went into last night’s game against the O’s with a team-high batting average at .305, 10 home runs, 40 RBI’s, 14 stolen bases, 45 runs, 20 doubles, and 6 triples which has him in first for the league. He is on pace to top almost all categories of his last year’s performance. Last year Trout finished with a .326 batting average, 30 homers, 83 RBI’s, 49 stolen bases, 129 runs, 27 doubles, and 8 triples. He is currently in second in the All-Star voting process for outfielders. Trout would have won MVP last year, if it weren’t for Cabrera becoming the first player in 45 years to win the triple crown.
