Jack Branham Joins Smart Devine as Senior Manager in Their Research & Development Tax Practice

His primary responsibilities include managing and delivering R&D tax credit studies, serving as the senior R&D technical resource, staff mentoring/training and providing sales and marketing support.

Prior to joining Smart Devine, Branham served for three years as the Tax Consulting Manager at Geller and Company. He was Assistant Director of R&D Tax Credits with SourceCorp Tax Benefits Group (Fort Worth, Texas), where he was instrumental in building its R&D practice and responsible for approximately $30 million in client R&D tax credits.

Before joining SourcCorp TBG, Branham served for six years as Senior Tax Manager – Tax Solutions Group with Plante & Moran, PLLC (Portage, Michigan), where he was instrumental in building its R&D practice and responsible for approximately $25 million in client R&D tax credits.

Branham has sixteen years of progressive tax experience and over ten years of R&D tax credit specialization.

Jack holds a BA in Accounting and MBA in Business Administration with a concentration in tax from Michigan State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Michigan and a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
