Online Marathon Coaching Available Through NHF's Run to Remember

People participating in marathons registered with National Hospice Foundation's Run to Remember athletic fundraising program can take advantage of free online coaching through Rapid Strides Coaching that offers personalized training schedules and feedback.

Alexandria, VA (PRWEB) June 12, 2013

In partnership with Rapid Strides Coaching, the National Hospice Foundation is offering online coaching at no cost to any Run to Remember participant training for half-marathons or marathons this year.

Rapid Strides Coaching offers online, individualized, scientifically-based training that is specific to race length (half or full marathon), time left to train, race time goal, and current run fitness. Daily workouts are adapted and adjusted according to daily workout feedback submitted by the runner. Participants can record daily workouts, review previous workouts, and also have the option to receive daily automated workout emails for the next two days of workouts. Monthly newsletters include relevant training and race tips.

"We are pleased to offer this additional service to support the dedicated individuals who are participating in Run to Remember to raise awareness and support for hospice through a marathon or half-marathon," said John Mastrojohn, III, NHF executive director.

Run to Remember is NHF’s athletic fundraising program. Through it, runners (or walkers) can choose any race and raise money for hospice while running in honor of a loved one who has passed away.

NHF still has entries to the Bank of America Chicago Marathon and the Marine Corps Marathon. To learn how to obtain one, visit: http://www.runtoremember.org/Spotlight.
