San Diego Magazine has named Global Village Concerns’ CIO, Kurt Cumming, Top Technology Executive in the Small Private Business category. The Top Tech Exec Award recognizes the most outstanding Information Technology executives who work in San Diego, as nominated by their peers and clients. An independent panel of judges evaluates required criteria to determine who deserves recognition.
“I am honored to be selected for this award,” said Kurt. “Millions of students across the country show up to school every day without the things that they want, need, or must have in order to be successful in school. At Global Village Concerns, we are laser focused on building the platforms that can change the reality for these deserving kids. This really is a team award, and I want to share it with our employees, customers, and partners who have contributed to our success.”
In 2012, Kurt fundamentally changed the course of the company based on the deployment of technology and productivity tools. He developed and implemented processes supported by systems and technology that transformed Global Village Concerns’ infrastructure to one that is highly automated and can easily scale to handle hundreds of thousands of e-commerce stores and thousands of employees.
