Rehab facility directors have to be teachers, mentors, marketers, managers and billing experts – all of this without ever losing focus on the patient. Stress management is key to their longevity.
Temecula, CA (PRWEB) June 13, 2013
Select Therapies recently hosted motivational speaker Scott Greenberg as the opening keynote speaker at their annual Directors meeting at the Temecula Creek Inn in Temecula, California. The event was attended by 105 facility rehabilitation directors from 57 rehabilitation centers located throughout the United States. Greenberg’s talk was entitled “The Third Factor for Success,” focusing on how one’s internal, emotional reactions to circumstances impact the result as much as external conditions or company operations.
During his four-hour program, Greenberg acknowledged the enormous responsibility directors face trying to provide high quality healthcare and rehab services while also managing employees, monitoring expenses and navigating through heavy regulation and complex billing procedures.
“Rehab facility directors have to be teachers, mentors, marketers, managers and billing experts – all of this without ever losing focus on the patient,” says Greenberg. “Stress management is key to their longevity.”
Greenberg talked about the internal, mental mechanisms that impact human performance during times of change and adversity. He also discussed ways to enhance the work environment and remain focused on the company’s core principles. The group also participated in a series of discussions and exercises to build team and define individual and group values.
