Best Western International, the World’s Biggest Hotel Family®, announced the launch of its newly redesigned mobile application, “Best Western To Go®.” Since 2009 when Best Western last redesigned the app, the number of smartphone users has nearly doubled to over 1 billion people worldwide, and the refresh was needed to upgrade features to today’s operating environment and devices.
Last year, Best Western incorporated TripIt® into the app’s user experience, and the redesign greatly enhances the experience. App features include the ability to research and book hotels, improved navigation, integrated TripAdvisor® reviews and a robust Bing® mapping overhaul.
“The new Best Western To Go app dramatically enhances the user experience and supports features available on many of today’s mobile devices,” said Dorothy Dowling, senior vice president of sale and marketing. “Consumers will benefit from deeper partner integration with TripIt, TripAdvisor and Bing throughout their experience.”
News of the redesign will be of particular interest to members of the brand’s loyalty program, Best Western Rewards® (BWR®), which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The new app offers elite recognition to BWR members and mobile access to account information.
